Win a Trip to Bud Camp with MuchMusic!

Wouldn’t you love to win a trip to Bud Camp??  It’s intense, there’s loud music and, of course, Bud Girls.  The contest site describes it like this:
Extreme fun. Over-the-top adventure. Bud Girls galore. They don’t call Bud Camp a wildlife experience for nothing. It’s an unforgettable long weekend at a remote location where guys come [...]

Top Five Albums in Canada - July 30, 2008

Wanna know what your fellow Canadians are listening to?  Well, there’s not really a Canadian in the bunch but here is the list (kinda disappointing but whatever) of the top 5 albums in the country right now.
Of course, Miley Cyrus is dominating the top spot with her new album “Breakout.”  I guess dominating [...]

Rufus Wainwright - "Going to a Town" Video

I don’t always like Rufus Wainwright, as a person, since his mouth tends to run but he is a phenomenal artist.  This song “Going to a Town” (title track from his album) is so hauntingly beautiful that it really took me by surprise.  The chords aren’t all that novel - in fact, they are pretty [...]

Raine Maida - "Yellow Brick Road" Video

Have you heard Raine Maida’s song “Yellow Brick Road?”  It’s from his 2007 solo album The Hunter’s Lullaby.  It’s definitely a different feel than his songs with Our Lady Peace.  It’s deeper, darker and in a lower key than he often sings.  I haven’t decided if I like the sound but I totally applaud the [...]

Nelly Furtado "All Good Things (Come to an End)" - Video

Nelly Furtado released the song "All Good Things (Come to an End)" on November 17, 2006 off of her album "Loose." It peaked at #5 on the Canadian Singles Chart, #86 in the U.S. and #4 in the UK. I’m not a huge fan of Nelly’s newer music, but I don’t mind this song that [...]

Avril Lavigne Debuts Clothing Line - Video

Canadian punk princess, Avril Lavigne, was on Good Day LA this morning where she showcased her new clothing line “Abbey Dawn.”  Basically, the clothes look like stuff she already wears so, if you love Avril Lavigne, or just want to look like her, this stuff is perfect.  I like some of it but I’m not [...]

Kardinal Offishall - "Dangerous" Video

I hate to admit it but Kardinal Offishall’s track “Dangerous” is actually pretty infectious.  The beat itself is pretty basic but it’s the repetitiveness that hooks you - you can’t but sing along to the chorus!  I hate liking it because Akon (the featured artist) drives me insane (and not in a good way).  Oh [...]

Alexisonfire - "This Could Be Anywhere in the World" Video

Wow… I don’t actually know how I feel about this song.  I like half of it… that’s a start.  I think the guitar chords are pretty hot, in all honesty, but I’m not a huge fan of how the chorus sounds.  It’s not because it’s too “hard” for me, I just don’t particularly like how [...]

“Savin’ Me” was one of the singles off of Canadian rock band Nickelback’s 2006 album All the Right Reasons.   It went all the way up to #1 on the Canadian charts, #19 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
