What’s Christmas in Canada without Rita MacNeil? That holiday special of hers on CBC has been going for at least 10 years (the one with the Barenaked Ladies and Elvis Stojko, I believe). I always know it’s time to buy my frozen turkey when I see the commercials for it come on television.
Rita also has a holiday album called Joyful Sounds: A Seasonal Collection which you can purchase from Amazon.com! She mixes original songs with covers of popular classics like "Adestes Fideles (Joy to the World)" and "Away in a Manger."
There are 22 tracks on the album which is more than enough to get you through Christmas morning!
