Reformed Canadian band Slaves on Dope to release new album

The new album “Over the Influence” by Canadian band Slaves on Dope will be released on February 28, 2012 via THC: Music/Rocket Science Ventures. The cd was produced and mixed by Kevin Jardine. The band is playing a free show at Foufounes Electriques in Montreal on Wednesday, February 29 in support of the new release. The band will be playing the album in its entirety and will also be debuting a new video for “Pork Sword.”

A one-minute trailer for “Over The Influence” can be seen below.  SLAVES ON DOPE‘s digital-only EP, “Careless Coma”, came out on November 1, 2011. The effort featured three new studio tracks, as well as remixes and a radio edit of the title cut. In March 2004, SLAVES ON DOPE announced it was going on hiatus due to Jason Rockman leaving the band. The group officially reformed in 2009.
