Neil Young gets banned from Fort McMurray radio for comments about local environment

neil youngLegendary Canadian musician Neil Young recently had some harsh words to say about the local environment of Fort McMurray, Alberta during a speech for the National Farmers Union Press Conference. He called the area a “wasteland” and compared it to Hiroshima. Rock 97.9 radio DJ Chris Byrne subsequently banned Neil Young from his station’s playlist.  You can watch Neil Young’s speech below.
