SWAMPERELLA’S SOOZI SCHLANGER TO DEBUT FIRST SOLO ALBUM AT TORONTO C0NCERT

Soozi Schlanger PosterVisual artist, singer, songwriter and fiddle player Soozi Schlanger will debut her solo CD at Gallery 345 on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

Soozi previously released four albums with her band Swamperella, the Cajun-themed Toronto-based dance band. She has also previously released an album with Betty & The Bobs. This latest CD is her first ever solo outing with a collection of powerful original songs.

Soozi breaks the rules on many fronts, not the least of which is that at the age of 60 she’s launching a notable songwriting career.

This CD is for fans of artists such as Lucinda Williams, Iris DeMent and Mary Gauthier.

As she is also a distinguished painter and sculptor, she’ll combine the CD release with an exhibition of her latest works, not to mention an aerial performance by Holly Treddenick.

The CD Release will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Gallery 345 which is located at 345 Sorauren Ave. in Toronto, Ontario.  The doors open at 7:15pm and the performance will start at 8:00pm. The cost is $15 in advance or $20 at the door.  Combine an event ticket with a CD for only $30.
