Dawson City’s Noosa releases album Wild North

noosa wild northDawson City’s singer-songwriter Noosa has released a new album entitled Wild North on October 25, 2013.  The album has been described by CBC Radio 1‘s Bandwidth as “terrific” and “beautiful.”  The album is comprised of both original music and cover songs, reflecting life in the remote gold-rush town. The album was recorded by Nathan Tinkham.  Tributes to Ray Charles, George Jones and Tom Waits are made, and themes of workaholicism and female independence run throughout. In the style of old greats like Patsy Cline, the songs use current content to catapult them into the present, almost creating the Canadian Music counterpart to Corb Lund or Daniel Romano.
