Toronto rock band Classick scores Hockey Night in Canada intro

classickThe Toronto band Classick was featured on the intro to Hockey Night in Canada on CBC this weekend during the opening montage. In case you missed it, you can catch the video which was created by CBC film maker Tim Thompson on youtube below:

The band has a lineup of singer Morgan Clamp, Kyle Hosick on guitar and drummer Pete Wilhoit. The name Classick is both a witty joining of the names Clamp and Hosick and is also a homage to the type of “classic rock” that the band makes.

As mentioned by Ron McLean during the broadcast, Classick was a top 50 finalist in the national SongQuest competition. In celebration of the broadcast, the band is offering a free download of their song “This Heart” for a limited time on the Classick website

Check out the band, I’m sure you’ll like their anthemic classic power rock tunes.
