Sunspinnaz’s New EP – Hip Hop Flavors And Electrifying Grooves

Meet Sunspinnaz, a Montreal trio with an interesting take on a new flavor of hip-hop. This project years in the making has come up with an EP bound to swing heavy. What can best be described as “Hip-Rock”, this supergroup formed as a brotherhood of close-knit music lovers coming together to create a conceptual brand of warm sound.

Musically, the band finds its unlikely roots in a combination of genres, with a groovy esthetic that crosses over different moods and tones. With hip-hop remaining as its driving force, the tracks laid down by the men have a discernible indie rock edge, producing a feel-good soundtrack that can be at times both complex and lighthearted.  The combination creates music that mirrors the background influences of its members; from frantic pace-setting anthems, to mellow introspective tracks, Sunspinnaz reach a fine line between orchestrated pandemonium and blissful balance.

Well-sharpened in both art forms honed from years experience in different musical projects, the band’s heartfelt bangers could speak to anyone from the indie hip-hop crowd to the more hardened rock listeners. Think Jedi Mind Tricks meet The Roots- or if Eminem teamed up alongside The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

With a style they can call their own, they offer an honest and refreshing take on today’s music scene. This four-song EP teaser serves as a preview to their upcoming album Stream Of Thought, their first full-length record set to drop in September later this year. Released under Goodvibepeople, a music entertainment society, this band is definitely one to look out for in 2015.
